The Old People's Home

The Old Peoples Home was established in 1938.

From the early years in the original building in Howard Avenue to the current premises that span 1Ha between Howard and Woburn Avenues, The Old Age Home has stayed true to its aim to bring affordable, comfortable and reliable housing and nursing care to people the East Rand.

Originally it was home to 10 Men and 10 women and over the years has grown to House 114 residents in the various live-in facilities with an additional 19 Retirement cottages.

Throughout the passing years the home has endured numerous economic challenges but has always been able to maintain its not-for-profit status and is proud to offer a high quality product at consistently affordable rates.

All the staff at the home are focused on caring for our residents with dignity and respect as each elderly person deserves, hence our saying. Your Gogo is our Gugu.
